Estimate the value behind your own missed calls
Use your phone records and your own commercial assumptions. The output is an estimate, not a guarantee of bookings, revenue, or results.
How to count missed calls
- Export or review 30 days of records from your business phone provider.
- Count inbound calls marked unanswered, abandoned, busy, or sent to voicemail.
- Remove spam, repeat dials from the same caller, and calls outside the scope you want to handle.
- If possible, compare missed numbers with later callbacks or bookings to avoid double counting.
- Use the remaining number as the first calculator input.
How to choose assumptions
Use a booking percentage based on your own callback history, not an industry average. For booking value, use the value of the first appointment you are trying to capture rather than projected lifetime value.
Keep the estimate conservative.
Operational capacity, caller intent, pricing, appointment availability, and your team's follow-up process all affect actual outcomes.
